Yes.  Even for those who wanted a divorce there are feelings of tremendous grief.  There are feelings of regret for not being able to have “fixed it”, feelings of wishing it could have been different, better or more.  We grieve over losing that which was familiar to us.  Pet loss is another great feeling of loss and grief.  Our hearts were tied to them and unconditional love was involved. Yes!  Simple tasks can feel like a huge effort.  You are dealing with mixed emotions of grief in addition to your regular daily life.  It is very normal and natural to have these feelings.
When a person is hurt physically they seek immediate help.  So too with a broken heart from a loss.  It is never too early or too late to begin our program.
