The Life After Loss, Grief Recovery program helps you to recover from your grief and bereavement.  First, you will discover what is emotionally unfinished and uncommunicated in all aspects of your relationship with the person or thing you lost. Then, we use an action based program that takes you safely through specific steps and exercises that lead to your recovery from the pain.

Grief is a normal and natural reaction to loss.  Yet, it is one of the most misunderstood experiences, not only to the griever, but also to those loving and caring people who attempt to be supportive.

Our society leaves us totally unprepared and uneducated for these inevitable occurrences, some of which include:

  • Death of a loved one
  • End of a relationship such as separation or divorce
  • Major health issues
  • Miscarriage
  • Major financial changes
  • Death of a pet

Grief and bereavement are emotional responses to loss, but most of the information we have learned about dealing with loss is intellectual and not emotional.  The majority of incorrect ideas about dealing with loss can be summed up in some myths that are so common, most people have never questioned whether they are even valid.

Some of which include:

  • Keep busy
  • Time heals all wounds
  • You’ll find someone else
  • At least you had him/her
  • He/she lived a long life

Just looking at the myth “time heals”, creates the idea that a person just has to wait and he or she will feel better.  We have known people who have waited over 10 years and still don’t feel better.

Recovery from loss is accomplished by discovering and completing all of the undelivered communications that accrue in relationships.  We are all advised to “let go” and “move on”.  Most of us would if we knew how.  Using our program’s completion exercises will assist you in acquiring the skills to help you recover from your grief and bereavement.  As a result you will feel better and be able to enjoy fond memories without having them trigger painful feelings of regret and remorse.  Then you will truly feel there is “Life After Loss”.
